At Max's 4 month checkup his pediatrician referred us to Primary Children's because Max's skull wasn't forming correctly. His right forehead and ear were pushing slightly forward and the condition could get worse if not treated by a specialist. No mom wants something wrong with her baby, and I admit I went into "mommy protection mode". I read every website and talked with another mom who's baby went to the clinic I was referred to. We saw Dr. Schmelzer today and he said Max has a mild case of Deformational Plagiocephaly (On the scale of 1-10, Max is a 5). He should grow out of it in the next 8 weeks with just positioning him differently when he sleeps. I'm so thankful - I would do anything to make sure my kids have the best life possible, but I don't know where we would come up with $2000-$3000 dollars to pay for helmet therapy right now. I love you Max!

Bear Lake
Every August we go to Bear Lake with Mikes family.
This year was kind of crazy with three babies, but we always have so much fun.
We found out that Grace does not like sand, at all! She cried and cried when we took her to the beach. She liked the alligator and the tube with Grandpa, but she wouldn't stand in the water. We will have to stick with the pool for awhile.
Grace loves her cousins, Tylor, Travis and Daisy. But I'm not so sure Tylor wants to
play with Grace anymore. The whole
week Grace kept calling, "Tylor, Tylor, Tylor!" Each time getting more aggresive.
Grace doesn't sleep in very well, so every morning at 5ish she would start calling "Cocoa, Tylor!" Waking up everyone.
The kids loved the play ground, Grandpa took Gracie to the swings and she would say "Wewewe" she is so cute!
Can't wait for next year!

The Plan - I suppose it's what I get for having a perfect plan - I was/am a firm believer that I would not have more than 1 child in diapers at a time. Max had other plans and couldn't wait to come to our family. I even teased my sister Nicole for having her kids so close together, I believe I called her crazy, maybe insane(?) - and her closest are 18 months apart. Mine are 15. Irony.
Grace loves Max, most of the time. Even though he is almost bigger than her, she likes to hold him, and give him his blanket. She has tried to lift him out of the swing, off the floor and from the couch. I'm counting days until we have our first injury!

This was Sunday morning, just before church. I have to say that Grace has more dresses than any one little girl would ever need. Thanks mostly to Grandma Ruth, but her mommy has bought a few she couldn't resist! Max is sporting my favorite outfit, the sweater vest and khaki's, I can't believe how big he is getting!

Our Craziness
8/20/08 - Mike and I met three years ago this summer. We dated for a short time (about a month....) and knew we were meant to be together. We were married in October of 2005 and have two beautiful babies. Grace is 19 months, busy, adorable, busy, smart and busy. Max is my good baby, he is 4 months old. For the most part he is calm and happy. He has his moments but I wouldn't trade him for anything. This is our story...
