Max's trip to Primary Childrens

At Max's 4 month checkup his pediatrician referred us to Primary Children's because Max's skull wasn't forming correctly. His right forehead and ear were pushing slightly forward and the condition could get worse if not treated by a specialist. No mom wants something wrong with her baby, and I admit I went into "mommy protection mode". I read every website and talked with another mom who's baby went to the clinic I was referred to. We saw Dr. Schmelzer today and he said Max has a mild case of Deformational Plagiocephaly (On the scale of 1-10, Max is a 5). He should grow out of it in the next 8 weeks with just positioning him differently when he sleeps. I'm so thankful - I would do anything to make sure my kids have the best life possible, but I don't know where we would come up with $2000-$3000 dollars to pay for helmet therapy right now. I love you Max!

Yeah I am so glad it wasn't anything too scary. He is just such a doll. That has to make you feel so much better as a mommy. See you soon!

I am so glad that it isn't something worse. That is so scary. I am so grateful that my kids have been healthy up to this point in their lives. I can't believe how big your kids are getting. They are both so cute!
