Song for a Fifth Child
Mother, O Mother, come shake out your cloth,
Empty the dustpan, poison the moth,
Hang out the washing, make up the bed,
Sew on a button and butter the bread.
Where is the mother whose house is so shocking?
She's up in the nursery, blissfully rocking.
Oh, I've grown as shiftless as Little Boy Blue,
Lullabye, rockabye, lullabye loo.
Dishes are waiting and bills are past due
Pat-a-cake, darling, and peek, peekaboo.
The shopping's not done and there's nothing for stew
And out in the yard there's a hullabaloo.
But I'm playing Kanga and this is my Roo
Look! Aren't his eyes the most wonderful hue?
Lullabye, rockaby lullabye loo.
The cleaning and scrubbing can wait till tomorrow
But children grow up as I've learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down cobwebs; Dust go to sleep!
I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.

And yes - that is a pink bottle in his crib!
I didnt even notice the pink bottle.. but since you mentioned it.. WHY does he have ANY Bottle at ALL in his crib!! Bad bad habit!
I so Wish I could just have a day with no "to do List" going on! And my house would magically stay clean all the time!! hmmmm
I ditto the not having a to do list. How nice. I think we don't remember that age just so we don't all lounge around all day.
I just dont know how Nicole does it? Chance woke up in the night a few times until he was like 10 months and what would I do yep you guessed it get up and make him a bottle and stick it in his mouth in his crib and climb back in bed :) So dont feel bad. We did have fun as kids and it woiuld be fun to relive those days once in awhile!
